Bill Thomas - Instructor

Bill Thomas has worked for 26 years in the electric utility industry.  He began his career in 1982 with Central Power and Light Company in Corpus Christi, Texas and held a variety of positions including applications engineer, agricultural engineer and regional marketing manager.  Bill then moved in 2001 to TXU Energy, becoming a senior sales executive offering competitive retail electricity to end-use customers in the South Texas market.  In 2006 Bill continued his career progression forming Thomas Engineering, Inc. an energy management and consulting company.  Focusing on electric energy procurement, contract negotiation, energy efficiency initiatives and demand side management programs, Bill works with a wide variety of customers ranging from cotton gins and food processors to regional water districts and port authorities.  He  received a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1981 and is a licensed professional engineer in Texas.
