• Phil Scalzo

Phil brings more than 27 years of energy experience to Enerdynamics, having spent 15 years at a large east-coast utility and then 12 years as an executive at The Williams Companies.  While at Williams, Phil led the Energy Marketing and Trading Business Unit’s business development team with responsibility for power asset development, electric transmission, natural gas storage development, T&D, power dispatch, operations, and technical services, and M&A.  During his tenure at Williams, Phil and his team amassed a portfolio of more than 15,000 MWs of electric generation, and negotiated sales and services agreements valued at more than $3 Billion.  During his electric utility days, Phil held a variety of positions beginning with Instructor in the Nuclear Division’s training department where he was tasked with training nuclear plant operators and technicians in physics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow, and nuclear physics.  Phil also held positions in corporate and strategic planning, non-utility generation contracting, and, served as the company’s first Manager, Power and Gas Marketing.  Phil has a B.S in Physics and Mathematics and an MBA with a concentration in corporate finance.  Phil is a licensed teacher and has enjoyed teaching at both the High School and College levels.  He is presently a principal in The CO2 Group, LLC and Merit Energy Ventures, LLC; two firms that provide specialized services to electric utilities and renewable energy companies.
